The Annual Hava Nagila Picnic on Sunday, June 25th, 2017 was a wonderful (and sunny) kick off to summer featuring fun for all ages. Activities included: inflatables, face painting, balloon animals, and Information tables for local Jewish organizations. New this year: a dunk tank ($5 for 3 chances to dunk the Rabbis and representatives from Madison Jewish organizations to raise money for their organization of choice), an obstacle course, and Chai, I'm New Here! Outreach Tent.
There were beautiful and delicious foods for sale from local vendors including a bagel bar, a variety of bruschetta on the grill by Adamah Neighborhood Table, shakshuka and half-moon pies by Noosh, desserts from Manna Café, and Kona Ice of Madison. All proceeds benefited Gan HaYeled Preschool Enrichment Programs.
The event closed with a Tribute Celebration to Dina Weinbach, Jewish Federation of Madison Executive Director, to wish her well in her retirement at her last official event. She will be leaving her position at the Jewish Federation of Madison at the end of June.

A big Thank You to: everyone who attended; to all our wonderful volunteers for making the fun happen by helping with the event planning, greeting attendees, selling food items from the bagel bar, supervising activities, setting up and cleaning up, and more; and to all of the good sports who braved the chilly waters of the dunk tank! We couldn't have done it without you!
