With great sadness, we write to inform you of the death of Gerald McKinney, husband of Mary Leary; father of Shahanna Wynn McKinney (Bill Baldon), David Franklin McKinney (Elizabeth Miller), Adam William McKinney (Daniel Banks), Jason Schachter McKinney (Karon Anne Click), and David Svantesson (Charlotte Löfvenmark); stepfather of Nicholle Leary; grandfather of Dosia Tamar McKinney, Lillie Reddy, Noah Benjamin McKinney, William Joseph (Yosef) Baldon IV, Amira Yael Baldon, Alice Svantesson, and Victor Svantesson; brother of Jacqueline White Allen, Claude White, James McKinney, Thomas McKinney (Gracie), Yvonne McKinney, Raymond Moore, Gwendolynne Moore, and Brenda Moore; and lifelong friend of Harriet Schachter McKinney (Steven Mandelman). He died on December 19 at the age of 80.
Funeral
The funeral, in-person for family members only, will be held on Wednesday, December 22, at Goodman Bensman Funeral Home in Milwaukee at 11:00 am. Family and friends are welcome to attend the graveside service at Greenwood Cemetary at 1:00 pm.
The funeral will be livestreamed on Zoom.

The family will gather after the funeral privately. Shiva will also be held Thursday and Saturday at 5:00 pm on Zoom. All are welcome.
