How does the Jewish Federation of Madison use this information?
- The professional staff attempts to verify or corroborate all incidents.
- We respect all requests for anonymity. All reports are confidential unless there is an agreement to reveal the identities of people involved.
- We refrain from publishing or otherwise making available the names of individual victims or perpetrators. This policy may exclude public figures or comments made in the public domain.
- The Jewish Federation of Madison may intervene or provide follow-up on reported incidents, including referring to local and national law enforcement and organizations (such as ADL). This is done on a case-by-case basis, in conjunction with the reporting party.
- The information is used to develop educational and outreach programming to combat antisemitic activity.
