In times of crisis, service heals and connects us. Participate in the National Day of Jewish Service with the Jewish Federation of Madison in partnership with WayForward Resources. Please note the location change to Temple Beth El.

The challenge: Our neighbors are hungry. Shockingly, thirty-four million people in the US don’t have consistent access to food, and the impact disproportionately affects historically marginalized communities.

The opportunity: Thousands of volunteers across the U.S. will show up to combat hunger. Dive into action alongside your communities to tackle food access issues while embracing the Jewish value of solidarity, achdoot.

Locally, we’ll be volunteering to pack emergency food bags for the WayForward food pantry while understanding the Jewish values of tzedakah and tzedek

Children and adults of all ages are welcome and encouraged to participate.

Bring a picnic lunch or a dish to share for a communal meal following volunteering, where we will discuss food access in our community.
