With great sadness, we write to inform you of the passing of Allan R. Burman, who was the stepfather of Kendra (Jon) Sager, our Director of Midrasha, and Associate Executive Director at Temple Beth El. Allan was the husband of Martha Miller and former husband of Phyllis Burman, father of Todd (Kim), Keith, and Scott (Emily) Burman, and also the stepfather of Kim (Jason) Smith. He was the grandfather of Brett, Blake, Harrison, Elizabeth, and Caleb; brother of Helene (David) Bronstein, uncle of Ronna (Dave) Trumfio, and the late Jay Bronstein. Allan passed away on Wednesday, March 9, in Delray Beach, FL.

A funeral service will be held for Allan on Monday, March 14, 2022, 10:00 am, at Temple Beth Israel, Skokie, IL, and the interment will follow at Shalom Memorial Park, Arlington Heights, IL. Funeral attendees are asked to be vaccinated and to wear face masks. The funeral will also be livestreamed.
