With great sadness, we write to inform you that Michael Amram Weiner, M.D. passed away peacefully at St. Mary’s Hospital on November 3. He is survived by his beloved wife, Diane, daughter Ariel (Ryan) Malia, stepson Jamie Engber, brother Scott Weiner, brother-in-law Rick Ackley, granddaughters Fiona and Juniper Malia, nephews James Ackley, Adam and Max (Marie) Weiner, Chris, Mike and Tim Ackley, aunts Natalie Russell, Violet (Robert) Schneider and many cousins and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Shirley Weicher Weiner and Jack Weiner, brother and sister-in-law Robert and Susan Ackley, aunts and uncles George Russell, Mildred and Al Lerner, Ruth and Joe Hirschberg, and Bernice and Milt Mason.
Michael was a past Jewish Federation of Madison Board member, among other roles, and a recipient of our Miriam Singer Sulman Young Leadership Award in 1985.
