With great sadness, we write to inform you of the death on September 11 of Alan Weisbard. Alan is survived by Phyllis Holman Weisbard, their children Ari Weisbard (Rebecca Ennen) and Rabbi Talya Weisbard Shalem, and grandchildren Misha and Selma Ennen and Noam Shalem.
Funeral
The funeral will be on Wednesday, September 13, at 1:00 pm at Beth Israel Center, with interment to follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. The portion of the service taking place at the synagogue will be viewable online and recorded.
Shiva
Shiva will be at the Yorktown apartment complex community room where Phyllis Holman Weisbard lives. Shiva visits will be welcome between 6:00 pm and 9:00 pm on Wednesday, September 13, and Thursday, September. 14. At 6:15 pm on both evenings, evening minyan will be held simultaneously in the Shiva home and on Zoom.
Phyllis will additionally receive visitors on Friday, September 15, between 11:00 am and 3:00 pm in her apartment.
